With reference to the article “The social construction of violence: The case of sexual and domestic violence” (posted in Blackboard), explain how we can understand the idea of the social construction of violence through examining the history of sexual violence or domestic violence in the United States. How have the meanings of these categories changed over time? What led to such changes? Why is it important to account for relations of power when answering these questions?
