  • Determine one area in which this leader could improve upon, and suggest one action that this leader could take in order to do so. Note: Please do not identify workplaces or leaders by name.

  • Be honest – being honest is very important for the leader and its employees.  Honesty determines the type of a leader because it establishes its reputation as a leader and it’s a way to gain trust across the organization.
  • Be respectful – honesty and respect go together when it comes to be an ethical leader.  Having a clear understanding and respect for yourself and employees.
  • Be encouraging and empowering – An ethical leader should want to grow those around them, meaning any staff that are beside them or below them they should want them to excel.  Being opening to receiving feedback and requesting for feedback and fully accepting it.
  • Be stern against ethical violation – showing tolerance for any employee (no matter their role) whom violates the ethical code the leader leads by.
  • Display A team first mindset – It’s important that no matter one’s role that everyone feel equally important no matter the task at hand.
  • Encourage ethical practices – as an ethical leader it’s important to illustrate this behavior both professionally and personally.
  • Be Proactive – not let thing fester within the workplace, issues must be met and resolved immediately to be ale to work and adjust to them rather than pointing the finger.
