This Analysis is on Romans 14: 1-12 should be done

This Analysis is on Romans 14: 1-12 should be done in Turabian bibliography style footnotes format and have the following sections: (1) exegesis; (2) theological analysis; (3) application; and, in the case of Christian Ministry majors, (4) ministry implementation.

The exegetical section must include a thorough exegesis of the assigned biblical text. The theology section must contain three parts: (1) a short summary of the parts of the exegesis which is applicable to the topic discussed, (2) a discussion on the various schools of thought on the topic; and (3) a discussion of your own views, along with rationale for that view. Once again, it must include all features included in the Theological Section. The life application section must include a discussion of the relevance of this passage and its message for daily life. In the case of Christian Ministry majors, the last section is to discuss how the theology and message of the text could be implemented in a contemporary ministry setting.

In essence, the entire paper should be as follows:

  1. Exegesis
  2. This section is to discuss the passage verse by verse, section by section, explaining what the text says.
  3. At this stage you are not to discuss various views or applications. When there are exegetical points on which there are various views, at this stage you only mention those views without getting into a critique. The critique comes in the second part of the theological section.
  4. Theological Section (three subsections)
  5. The first step here is to summarize your exegesis from part 1.
  6. Discuss schools of thought on the passage (This section is to discuss the various schools of thought on the passage, including the rationale for those views. There should be no critique of these views at this point. By “schools of thought,” discuss the various perspectives on the meaning of the passage and/or significant facets of the text that drive the overall meaning. However, do not discuss various views on tangential issues. For example, view on the angels does not on the surface drastically affect the meaning of the passage. If you feel it does affect the meaning, then you will have to make it clear how it does so.)
  7. This final section is to interact with the various views and argue for your own view of the text, clearly      discussing rationale.
  8. Cultural Analysis and Application
  9. Discuss what the text means for contemporary culture
  10. Discuss a present-day application
  11. Summary & Conclusion
