A Major Research Paper on one or more ‘types’ of empowered mothering. These may include, but are not limited to: Aboriginal, African-American/Canadian, Young, Feminist, or Lesbian/Queer. For other options of topics refer to the course reader (Mothers, Mothering, and Motherhood Across Cultural Differences) or speak to the TA.
You are to use at least two sources from the course material as well as at least four scholarly sources from outside the course. Your essay must be structured as an argument (how and why this type of mothering functions as a mode of empowered mothering) and the argument must be proven by analysis of research presented.
